"This is a ski city" Davos is the
largest ski resort in Switzerland and the highest
city in Europe. The year-round population is 12,000,
but can fill up with an additional 23,000 visitors.
This town was one of the first ski resorts to be
developed and is still one of the world's best.
Davos and Klosters offer a combined 315 km of runs,
a variety of lodging, cable cars, and several yodeling
accordion players.The nightlife is adequate, if
restrained. Everything except the skiing seems to
be done in moderation. |

Mountain rating
Davos is great for real intermediate skiers.
This is perhaps the ideal terrain for learning to
ski and for perfecting your technique. For experts,
the upper Parsenn terrain may become a little boring.The
Strela area has some good off-piste skiing down
the wide bowl. Rinerhorn has great tree ski runs
and good off-piste as well. |
