is no real town center; it is more a sprawl of chalets
and hotels. Verbier is the major town in an area
comprised of four valleys that have been interconnected
by a spectacular lift system. In winter, VERBIER
is considered one of the most stylish and prestigious
ski resorts in Switzerland with over 400 km of slopes
and many more outdoor as well as indoor winter sports
facilities. Famous for its shops and nightlife,
there are also many trendy bars and restaurants

Mountain rating
Verbier is considered tops by expert skiers.
Black runs are steep and hair-raising. We do not
recommend runs such as the Tortin, from Col des
Gentianes, if you are not at least an advanced intermediate.
Intermediates will find challenging terrain and
technique-perfecting runs. Beginners can glide down
easy bunny slopes, but they shouldn't expect the
rest of the mountain to be conquered by week's end.
